“Renaissance Dreams” is temporary closed in line with the new Covid restrictions from November 5
Starting on 31st October, MEET’s immersive room will be home to “Renaissance Dreams”, a site-specific immersive art experience by Refik Anadol, the Turkish media artist and filmmaker, who lives and works in Los Angeles. “Renaissance Dreams” features four chapters: each focusing on separate datasets of painting, sculpture, literary texts and architectural works created between 1300 and 1600. These datasets have been processed through unique GAN algorithms that are specifically developed to generate a dynamic multidimensional shape matching the architecture and infrastructure of MEET.
The result is a hypnotic “walk” on the tracks of Italian art history that has been tailored to MEET’s venue. A message of beauty and rebirth offered to our country. “Renaissance Dreams” is open to the public, free of charge, until January 10th, 2021. Entry is by advance timed ticket only in compliance with the rules on management of the COVID-19 crisis. Booking is required here.
