Visioni D’Alta Quota: sport as you’ve never seen it
Register for the eventJanuary 30, MEET Digital Culture Center
On January 30, Meet presents the ten winning videos from the Visioni d’Alta Quota call, a project that transforms a century of mountain sports in Lombardy into audiovisual narratives for urban screens in Milan, Brescia, and Bergamo during the 2026 Milan-Cortina Olympics and Paralympics.
Ten groups of creative professionals and digital artists under the age of 30 have reinterpreted stories of mountaineering, skiing, and hiking in the region using contemporary visual language. The selected projects range from generative animation to archival reworking, from data visualization to hybrid techniques, translating regional heritage into aesthetic experimentation.
The initiative is funded by the Lombardy Region as part of the Culture Olympics call for proposals and is part of the Giochi della Cultura program, promoted by the Lombardy Region in collaboration with Triennale Milano, and the Cultural Olympiad of the Milano Cortina Foundation. MEET and Politecnico di Milano selected 10 concepts and oversaw production during a mentoring phase.
Visioni d’Alta Quota brings values of inclusivity, democracy, and peace rooted in Lombardy’s sporting tradition to public spaces in major cities. Urban screens become digital art installations that redefine the relationship between citizens and shared space, transforming daily transit into a moment of discovery.
The videos produced will inhabit the city during the Olympics, escaping the museum setting to become part of the urban flow. The event on January 30 is an opportunity to see how a new generation of creatives is building bridges between cultural heritage and technological experimentation, between local identity and universal languages.
