To accompany Liquid Chimeras, the first European exhibition by the duo Entangled Others (Sofia Crespo and Feileacan McCormick), MEET and Scuola di Robotica are offering workshops designed to explore the exhibition’s themes in greater depth. Liquid Chimeras stems from a fundamental premise: where information is lacking, spaces for creative possibility open up. The duo translates this urgency into installations that traverse the twilight zones of the oceans, where pressure makes direct observation impossible.

The workshops offer practical, creative, and collaborative activities designed to stimulate critical thinking, curiosity, and active participation. Through interactive experiences, participants take part in a project aimed at connecting the artistic experience with interdisciplinary learning pathways capable of inspiring new visions and skills to inhabit the present and imagine the future with awareness.

IMMERSIONE NELL’ABISSO. A creative workshop exploring stories, shapes, and stop-motion.

The workshop uses the space and immersive atmosphere of the AULA MIRI to transform the exhibition’s themes into a collective installation. After listening to the sounds of the underwater world, participants will use recycled materials and shapes to create sea creatures and ecosystems that they can bring to life through a stop-motion story. Using the classroom’s projectors, the works created by workshop participants will simulate the underwater environment, and this narrative experience will allow them to reflect on the fragility of data and nature through art and creativity.

The workshop activities will be tailored to the different age groups of the two workshops.

Target audience: Ages 6–10 starting at 3:00 PM / Ages 8–12 starting at 4:45 PM
