MEET is participating in the “Disegniamo l’Arte” initiative organized by Abbonamento Musei. This project was created with the goal of bringing live drawing back to the heart of the museum experience, transforming the exhibition space into a place for active exploration and personal expression. Like in a travel journal, young participants observe their surroundings—shapes, movements, lights, real and imagined creatures—and translate them into lines, colors, and visions.

The workshop offers a different way of experiencing the museum: not just a place to visit, but an environment to inhabit, interpret, and reinvent. Drawing thus becomes a tool for looking more deeply, for slowing down the gaze and capturing details, but also for giving form to what remains invisible.

Designing Immersion

After visiting the exhibition Liquid Chimeras by the artistic duo Entangled Others, children and teens are invited to enter a space where observation and imagination merge. In the immersive room, the ocean takes shape through images, sounds, and data transformed into an experience. There, inspired by the ocean floor and its most mysterious depths, participants will be asked to “draw immersivity”.

As Liquid Chimeras suggests, the oceans remain largely unknown: between fragmentary scientific data and areas inaccessible to human perception, fertile spaces for the imagination open up. In this context, the workshop invites participants to explore precisely these “voids,” transforming them into creative possibilities. The ocean depths thus become a hybrid territory, where science and fantasy intertwine and where new creatures, landscapes, and worlds can emerge.

By drawing in the immersive room, children and young people become explorers of the deep, capable of constructing personal visions based on what is real, what is suggested, and what we do not yet know. The workshop thus offers an opportunity to experience art in an active, shared, and surprising way: a plunge into the imagination that transforms observation into creation and the immersive experience into a visual narrative.
