The new ground floor of MEET

From May 5, the MEET Bistrot by Mint Garden Café opens on the ground floor of MEET, and the ground floor will be a space for meeting, pausing, relaxing, as well as for cultural events and VR/XR experiences. This is a new opening but also a return to the Center’s original design, which has always given the ground floor the function of accommodating MEET’s audience in an informal and fluid place of culture. Capable of containing many functions, as well as many different kinds of meetings, conversations, reflections.

The partnership with MINT Garden Café

The new café bears the distinctive imprint and experience of MINT Garden Café within walking distance of MEET. A bar, restaurant and gathering place in an extremely vibrant neighborhood, prized for its meticulous attention to quality and original, welcoming atmosphere. For MEET Bistrot there will be a menu cleverly and thoughtfully designed to scan the different moments of the day, from morning breakfast to aperitif.

MEET the Nature: dialogue between natural and digital dimensions

The leitmotif that permeates the MEET Bistrot by Mint Garden Café is MEET the Nature, an articulated program of lectures, exhibitions and installations dedicated to exploring the complex relationship between human beings, the natural environment and technology. This theme is visually embodied in the layout of the Bistrot, designed in collaboration with Kartell, the project’s design partner. An environment characterized by light and vivid colors, where design thinking constantly returns to nature. The emblematic Masters chairs, enriched by Alice’s Flowers cushions designed by Tiziano Guardini and Luigi Ciuffreda, are the result of a project that is attentive to the product’s life cycle, with a view to sustainable design.

A permeable space

In close proximity to the VR Lounge, overlooking the “inhabited staircase” designed by Carlo Ratti as a living place to be inhabited, and adjacent to the immersive room and digital art galleries, the Bistrot fits into the uninterrupted flow of MEET’s activities, exhibitions and cultural events. A season of cultural exchanges between MEET and Kartell Museum will materialize here, in a collaborative program of talks and events.

During May there will be the official opening of MEET Bistrot and the new ground floor. Stay tuned!
