FIRST® LEGO® League Challenge: regional semifinals at MEET

Tuesday, January 20, and Wednesday, January 21

MEET Theater and Lounge

Once again this year, MEET will host the regional semifinals of the FIRST® LEGO® League, an event dedicated to robotics and science for students aged 9 to 16. Over 20 schools will come together to compete in fascinating missions: a global challenge for subsequent science and robotics qualifications between teams that design, build, and program autonomous robots, applying them to real problems of great general, ecological, economic, and social interest, in order to seek innovative solutions.

During the two days of competition, young participants from middle and high schools will compete in the Robot Game, using their creativity and skills to design, build, and program autonomous robots with LEGO® Education kits. In addition to developing a passion for science while having fun, the students acquire knowledge and skills that will be useful for their future careers and gain a concrete understanding of potential careers in the social, scientific, and engineering fields.

For the occasion, the students will also present their Innovative Projects related to the scientific theme of the 2025/2026 season: Unearthed, an invitation to explore the cultural heritage and wonders of our past.

In the Theater and Lounge, MEET and Scuola di Robotica will guide competitors through the competition and moments of sharing, creativity, and collaboration, enlivening the two days by hosting competitors and curious visitors, explaining the value of robotics in educating young people to learn, through play, how to program the machines of the future.
